Young & Reckless Szn 2 Pissed Me Off—Literally

Oh, Young & Reckless, how you toyed with my emotions in your second season. I came in with high hopes, expecting a thrilling rollercoaster of drama and excitement, only to be left somewhat deflated. The season kicked off strong, the cast seemed prettier than ever, and the energy was electric. I was all in for the young and turnt vibe, but alas, the promise fizzled out before my eyes.

Standout Personalities: Rynaee, Tay Tay, Tinz Tinz, and Baby Tyson

From the start, a few standout personalities had me intrigued. Rynaee, with her razor-sharp comebacks, consistently left the girls in disarray. Then there were the twins, Tay Tay and Tinz Tinz, whose endearing country antics brought a refreshing twist. Baby Tyson impressed with her fearless honesty, while Nugg—representing Philly, a city I liken to Narnia—showed early promise.

The OGs: Hits and Misses

The returning OGs were a mixed bag. Outside of Mel and Legacy, the veterans didn’t live up to their hype. Sav, in particular, irked me all season. Her attempt to play mentor ended badly when her friend turned against her. And let’s not even get into calling the cops—that was a diabolical move when standing her ground was an option.

Nugg’s Downfall and Mel & Legacy’s Golden Friendship

Nugg, who initially caught my eye, ended up being a letdown. Her deference to Ivory was disappointing, especially coming from a rumble-first city like Philly. That follower mentality just wasn’t it, sis. On the bright side, Mel and Legacy’s dynamic was pure gold. Their friendship blossomed this season, offering some of the most genuine and entertaining moments. After only seeing them briefly in Szn 1, it was a joy to watch them handle their biggest opp with style.

Ivory’s Role: Star Power, But Rough Around the Edges

Let’s talk about Ivory. We The OPPs adore her, but she needs some serious soul-searching. Ivory is undeniably a star, but she lacks polish, and her constant involvement in every drama is wearing thin. Her return for Szn 2 was overshadowed by the same tired bullying narrative, and her antics hit a new low with that disgusting act of throwing… well, it wasn’t pretty. Bottom of the barrel behavior, and I can’t stand it.

Mid-Grade Fights and a Season Highlight: Mel vs. Ivory

The fights this season? Mid-grade chaos. No real substance, just grabs for screen time. The most noteworthy clash was between Mel and Ivory. Despite Ivory’s reputation, Mel proved to be her match, and their squabbles brought some of the season’s best drama.

Final Verdict: A Spicy but Unbalanced Season

Overall, Young & Reckless Szn 2 earns a 4 out of 5. The drama was spicy enough, but a low point was the host, Ferrari, being disrespected on her own show. Watching someone she brought back turn on her was a hard pill to swallow. Ferrari needs to tighten her circle or her contract—someone she showers with love should never be the one to close her eye on her own show.

With love and a side of shade,
Lady Opp
